Geodesic agricultural domes for the himalayas.
The National Innovation Centre of Nepal and The Growingdome in the Clouds Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Minnesota, USA are pleased to announce a new collaboration intended to support the use of geodesic growing domes to assist in remote community agriculture and nutritional needs across rural Nepal.
The first 14 m solar, geodesic growing dome is being designed for the Sir Edmund Hillary School in Khumjung Village, Solukhumbu, Nepal. Fundraising is now underway through the US based foundation.
The ability to produce nutritious greens and fruits in remote, small farm communities will help to transform rural agriculture and develop sustainable, regenerative practices.
